Morton L. Friedkin
President/ Chairman of the Board

Morton Friedkin co-founded Friedkin Realty Group in 1970. Mr. Friedkin has 40 years of experience in many types of real estate projects, including all phases of acquisition, management, and disposition of multifamily properties. In addition to acting as Chairman, Mr. Friedkin also directs FRG's acquisition staff. He holds degrees in Economics and Political Science.

Mr. Friedkin is actively involved in local and national civic and charitable organizations.
















Jonathan V. Gaule
Chief Operating Officer


Mr. Gaule is the Chief Operating Officer of the Company.  He is responsible for overall company operating and financial activities. Mr. Gaule’s knowledge of the real estate industry results from his over thirty-five years of experience with both public and private companies in all major real estate sectors. 


He is a retired partner of Ernst & Young’s  New York City real estate group. Mr. Gaule was  previously a partner with Kenneth Leventhal & Company, an internationally recognized accounting and consulting firm that specialized in the real estate industry, which merged with EY – known as E&Y KL.  He was a partner in KL’s San Francisco office and later transferred to Chicago to direct KL’S Midwest audit operations.  Mr. Gaule’s audit and tax clients at both firms included public and private real estate companies including REIT’s and publicly traded limited partnerships.  Mr. Gaule was a member KL’s national technical policy group which established policies and procedures for the firm’s practices, and while in the New York and Chicago offices of E&Y KL, he was a regional audit technical partner. 


Mr. Gaule is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California and holds Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration degrees from The University of Southern California.  







Christopher Westcott
VP of Acqusitions & Asset Management

As Vice President of Asset Management, Mr. Westcott is responsible for the physical and financial performance of Friedkin Realty Group’s portfolio.  In addition to routine monitoring of the firm’s real estate portfolio, Mr. Westcott is responsible for the sourcing, valuation and due diligence process of all candidates for acquisition.  Experienced in all facets of multi-family acquisition and asset management (conventional, bond financed, tax credit), Mr. Westcott monitors the evolving real estate market and approaches each potential acquisition with a fresh perspective.

Mr. Westcott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University and is a licensed real estate broker.





Wendy Tran
Chief Financial Officer & Investor Relations

Wendy Tran is the Chief Financial Officer of Friedkin Realty Group.  Ms. Tran is responsible for overseeing and directing operations of the Company’s accounting department.  She is also responsible for developing and administering financial systems, procedures, and financial and tax reporting.

Wendy Tran has extensive audit and tax experience, having previously worked for over seven years as a manager with a San Francisco based public accounting firm.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Saint Mary’s College, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.





David Torres
Director of Capital Improvements

With more than fifteen years of experience, David Torres directs all capital improvements for the Friedkin apartment communities.

Mr. Torres typically manages a variety of improvement projects and ensures that the firm’s portfolio of properties are maintained to the highest standards.  In addition to ensuring that our tenants are provided with a safe and well maintained living environment, Mr. Torres excels in the application of cost effective techniques while utilizing the services of respected contractors who produce quality work in a reasonable time period.
